I had the honour of addressing on the 14th Ulto with reference to the Clain of Mr. Thomas Howard and myself in relation to Marine fot 184. and the Graya Reclamation when I forwarded to you a print of the Record of Proceedings to be used on

the appeal before the Privy Council.

Acting Crown Solicitor having requested that Extracts from the Ordinance, referred to in the Record of Prouerdings should also be printed and forwarded to the Registrar of Grivy Council this was consented to by behalf of the Plaintiffs and has since been done. At the same time I proposed to the Acting Crown Solicitor that the Message of Governor Sir G William Des Vœux of the 22th March 1889 to the Legislation Council of Hong Kong should be printed together with the Extracts from Ordinances but to this proposal the
